Should we, really?
I saw a girl today with a handmade poster on her electric guitar case. It said...something about voting no on 39. It makes since. With 2004 being a presidental voting year...who wouldn't be into politics right now? Everyone knows what they believe, what they think should happen or pass and they know why they think that.
For example, one of my friends is strongly for Kerry which absolutely BLOWS MY MIND...but we were talking and I said that if I would vote, it'd be with Bush. A few other friends around me agreed and the Kerry Fan FREAKED OUT. She "of course" knew why I was "pro-Bush" but on the others...she went off. She brought up the two major things in Kerry's campaign. Gay Rights and Abortion. Gay rights she didn't get into...but Abortion she did, and her explanation was weak but interesting. She gave the scenario that "you accidently but suddenly get pregnant and have no way of taking care of it...then what?"
WELL YOU SHOULDN'T BE HAVING SEX! If you don't have Sex, then there's no reason why you would need an abortion...and on the occasion that you get raped or something and you get pregnant...HAVEN'T YOU PEOPLE EVER HEARD OF ADOPTION AGENTS?
Abortion is simply just another way the Devil is using us. YOU THINK GOD LIKES THIS? It's a way to let us be immoral even more. THAT'S RIGHT, LET. Hey kids, you can have sex all you want, AND THE BONUS: if you get pregnant, you can get rid it of it! We'll have more updates on preventing STD's...
That's ridiculous.
And the fact that everyone is involved and wrapped up in this poisonous weed that's called politics is sickening! Should teenagers even be in this fight that turns brother against brother? Maybe people think that they need to have a voice...that they should be heard...and they deserve to be heard... but being heard- is that the same as being a part of it? Is there even a way that we can be heard without being drug into this pit?
Kids that can't even complete their homework shouldn't be involved in this...not at all...and it's sad that I even am. But when it surrounds our lives, how can we not?
